How It Works

This calculator multiplies the original price by the discount percentage to find your savings, then subtracts that from the original price for the final amount you'd pay — before any sales tax.

Formula

Savings = Price × (Discount % ÷ 100); Final price = Price − Savings
  • Price — Original price before the discount
  • Discount % — The percentage taken off

Example

Example inputs: Original price $120, 25% discount.

Result: You save: $30.00. Final price: $90.00.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this include sales tax?

No — this shows the discounted price only. Use the Sales Tax Calculator afterward if you want to add tax to the final price.

How do I stack two discounts, like 20% off plus an extra 10% off?

Apply them one at a time rather than adding the percentages together: run this calculator with the first discount, then use that result as the starting price for the second discount. Two 10% discounts stacked equal about 19% off total, not 20%.
